Gym Chalk Ball - Low-Mess Lifting Chalk for Grip

Description

Best for: Working toward your first pull-up. Four or five levels, so you can step down a band as you get stronger.

Your first strict pull-up is built one assisted rep at a time. A band takes some of your bodyweight at the bottom, where the movement is hardest, so you can train the full range now instead of waiting until you are strong enough to do it unassisted. That matters because the bottom of a pull-up is exactly the part you need practice in.

Loop the band over the bar, pull it through itself and put a foot or a knee in the bottom. Use the thickest band you need to get clean reps, then step down to a lighter one as you get stronger; the band giving you less help over time is your progress marker. Combine two bands if you need more assistance than the heaviest one gives on its own.

They also work for stretching, warm-ups, banded pull-aparts and adding resistance to squats and presses. Check each band for nicks, cracks or thin spots before heavy use, because a band that fails under tension snaps back fast. Store them away from heat and sunlight, and wipe them clean after chalky sessions.

  • 4-band or 5-band set
  • Combine bands for more help
  • Check bands for nicks before heavy use
  • Care: wipe clean, store away from heat

Also in the lineup: Single Loop Band to buy one band at a time; Tube Band Set for handles and a door anchor.

Pairs well with: Doorway Pull Up Bar to train pull-ups at home. Add any 2 items and Buy 2, Save 20% comes off automatically, or add a 3rd and save 25%.
