Three Rounds, Real Conditioning
Boxers skip for a reason: it builds calf endurance, footwork and timing inside the same three minute round. All it needs is a square metre of floor and enough ceiling to clear the rope, which makes it the easiest conditioning to actually do.
Three rounds of two minutes with a minute of rest is a complete session on its own.
Run it as a warm up before lifting, as intervals between sets, or as the finisher that empties the tank.
Built For Speed Work
A thin coated steel cable cuts through the air instead of floating, so the rope comes around fast enough for double unders and quick footwork drills.
The rotating heads keep the cable from kinking at the handle, which is what usually slows a cheap rope down mid-round.
Start with singles to find your rhythm, then build into doubles once your timing is there.
Bearings That Never Stutter
Dual ball bearings let the cable spin freely instead of binding at the top of the arc, which is the stutter and rope whip most beginners fight through. The textured grips stay secure once your hands are wet.
Stand on the middle of the cable and the handles should reach your armpits. That is your length.
If the rope keeps catching, shorten the cable before you blame your technique. A rope set to your height turns over cleanly and the trips stop.
Why GRYNDWEAR
An independent training brand built around one idea: gear should hold up to real sessions, not just look good in photos. We keep a tight lineup, pick every product for how it performs under load, and stand behind every order.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I set the rope length?
Stand on the middle of the cable and pull the handles up. The ends should reach your armpits. Adjust the cable to that length and it is set for you.
Can I do double unders with it?
Yes. The thin steel cable and ball-bearing heads are made for fast rotation, so it is well suited to double unders once your singles are consistent.
Will it hold up on concrete?
Yes, the cable is built to take contact with hard surfaces. A mat or a timber floor will still extend its life if you have the choice.
Is it good for beginners?
Yes. Set the cable to your height, keep your elbows in and turn the rope from the wrists. The bearings do most of the work for you.
How long is the cable?
The cable is 3 m (about 10 ft), which fits most adults. Shorten it to your height and lock it in place at the handle.
