Description

Once bodyweight pull-ups and dips stop being hard, the only honest way forward is to add load. GRYNDWEAR's dip belt with chain is a weighted dip belt built with a wide padded waist belt and a heavy steel chain, so plates or kettlebells hang cleanly between your legs while your hands stay free for the bar.

The belt body uses EVA padding over a supportive backing, which spreads the weight across the lower back and hips rather than concentrating it on a narrow strap. The chain runs through the belt and hooks back on itself, so you can set the hang length to keep the plates clear of the floor at the bottom of a dip. Everything is built around simplicity: no buckles to slip, no stitching carrying the load directly.

Use this weight belt for pull ups, weighted chin-ups, dips, belt squats and loaded carries. It works equally well as a dip belt for pull ups. Add weight in small increments, because weighted calisthenics load the elbows and shoulders quickly, and control the descent rather than dropping into the bottom position. Check the chain and hook for wear before each session, and make sure the plate is fully seated before you step off the box. Plates are not included, so use whatever loading you already own, starting with the lightest plate on your rack.

  • Material: EVA padded belt with supportive backing
  • Chain: heavy steel chain with hook closure
  • Use: weighted pull-ups, chin-ups, dips and belt squats
  • Fit: adjustable hang length to clear the floor
  • Includes: 1 belt with chain (plates not included)
  • Safety: inspect chain and hook before each use

Pairs well with: Doorway Pull Up Bar for weighted pull-ups at home. Add any 2 items and Buy 2, Save 10% comes off automatically.

Dip Belt with Chain in use at the gym

When Bodyweight Stops Being Hard

Once pull ups and dips stop being hard, the honest way forward is to add load rather than chase higher and higher rep counts.

Plates or a kettlebell hang between your legs on a heavy steel chain while your hands stay free on the bar.

Five kilos is enough to make a familiar set feel new, and the progression from there is simple.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much weight can it take?

It is built around a heavy steel chain for loaded dips and pull ups. Check the stated limit in the description and add load progressively.

How do I attach the plates?

Thread the chain through the plate holes or a kettlebell handle, then hook it back on itself at the length you want.

Will the plates hit the floor?

Set the hang length so they stay clear at the bottom of the movement. That adjustment is the whole point of a chain rather than a fixed strap.

Is it comfortable under load?

EVA padding over a supportive backing spreads the weight across the lower back and hips rather than cutting into one line.

What can I use it for?

Weighted dips, weighted pull ups and chin ups, and belt squats when you have somewhere to stand.
